647: (97/365) Yabbie

Small, delicious crustaceans abound all over the world, in Australia we have the Yabbie:

Found in freshwater dams, billabongs and rivers, yabbies are treasured as an Australian bush tucker.

Marron, yabbies cousins, are now farmed in great numbers but do not have the same taste/texture.

This delightful model, designed by Paul Jackson, is wrangled from an equilateral triangle, and is a little “cheaty” because it required cuts to form the pincers, but is charming none the least.
