658: (108/365) Yoshizawa’s Goldfish

Few origami masters did more for modern origami than Yoshizawa Sensei:

With delightfully few folds, his models evoke shapes, creatures and personalities.

He was a master of shaping and modelling paper, I am still developing my skills, but this lovely little model seemed to work out ok.

I must search out more of his work, it is great practise and a timely reminder that few folds can be every bit as beautiful as super complex ones. The suggestion of detail rivals the realistic rendering of that detail.
