704: (154/365) Shuzo Fujimoto’s Stars n Squares Tessellation

Starting with a square-twist tessellation, you add to the intensity by folding it some more:

Alternating spin squares with stars, you get this nightmare of paper torture.

I struggled with the scale of this fold, my fat clumsy fingers fumbled with the tiny twisty pleats, and the interlocking centres.

Back-lit this tessellation is also beautiful.

I must keep my eyes open for other tessellations, they have a calming effect in a sea of marking and panicking kids.
