Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, Trash it, change it, melt - upgrade it, Charge it, pawn it, zoom it, press it, Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,

I love buying techno-stuff, am beginning to become a gadget junkie and it has to be portable, funky and fun. Love the warranty also - "cheap" is something that idiots say as we all know the up-front purchase price is not the only variable. Who would have thought that a black Apple Macbook [hot and 1337 little beast it was] would be incompatible with orange juice - pfffft - they do not make machines the way they used to. Daughters new MacBook got a dousing [was 17 days old, the day a part of me died] with orange juice and turned itself off [who would have seen that coming] - has been off ever since, even after a visit to the repair shoppe. Repair bill was more that purchase price of a new one - excuse me? Can someone explain that to me please? Insurance is a wonderful thing. New one on the way, all good and lesson learnt [I flaming well hope so - electronics and liquids are NOT good friends]. Have a digital photo frame [bought it over the interweb at a fraction of the store price] is hoopy so now have a way to have current photos of my family on my work desk - this is hoopy as the old ones I had were from when they were littlies - yes, they were adorable but they have growed into adults - how did that happen?

Write it, cut it, paste it, save it, Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it, Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it, Drag it, drop it, zip - unzip it,

Busily writing plans of attack for new term, assessment plans, due dates and resources etc - start of a new year, I would love to say I enjoy the rush, but am glad it settles down when the learners arrive. Staff week over, was very busy with nearly no time to get done what I needed to do, you get that however. Shovelling guilt is hard and time-consuming work apparently.

Lock it, fill it, call it, find it, View it, coat it, jam - unlock it, Surf it, scroll it, pose it, click it, Cross it, crack it, switch - update it,

5 weeks and then some long-agonised about Long-Service Leave. 2 years ago I negan trying to work out what part of the year the least impact would be made - concluded such a time did not exist - term 1 second half was arrived at however. Going to Tassie, very excited. 19th year at the asylum, first time I have had any LSL, I think I deserve it ... no, sorry dear reader, your opinion on this matter is not important.

Name it, rate it, tune it, print it, Scan it, send it, fax - rename it, Touch it, bring it, pay it, watch it, Turn it, leave it, start - format it.

Daft punk - love the rinse and repeat model of techno-pop, must get me some. Will buy it tho - am a bit of a dinosaur I know but I buy music on CDs - have resisted the download, rip and steal model for anything that I want to listen to more than once - at least I find that standpoint acceptable - increasingly feel like I must be the only one, but so be it.
Feeling:: relaxed [5 weeks and counting]
Watching:: Jericho [is this post-apocalypse "Lost" - hope not]
Reading:: "Blind Faith" by Ben Elton [and then "The Fifth Elephant" by Terry Pratchett]
Hearing:: "Hottest 100" - woot! go MUSE
Accessed:: 1689 times so far, not that anyone is counting.
