so I watched this british show called "Operatunity" where everyday people got a chance to sing and learn opera to the amusement of the viewers, and I loved it - for the music more than anything. I recently spied an advert for the "Oz" version and thought ... why not. So I have just put myself through the learning of a piece of mucous [Handel's Messiah, well a bit from it at least] and had myself videoed making noise to piano accompanymentnicity and am gunna enter I reckon - fekked if I know if I am musical enuff to get a callback, but I reckon I would regret not trying, so "chocks away, chuck". Life is short and taking risks is character building [lord knows it is about time i develop a character]. Unusual to hear and see yourself as others do - confronting as well.. Keeping busy, avoiding confrontation, tracking positive, trying to have some fun along the way. Assignment time is interesting - so many expect me to panic over their problems, it takes a while for some to realize that I am happy to work with them to come up with a solution, but it is them that must do the work to get the marks... No word from state panel, waiting is the game I suppose. IPT resource space is coming along as teachers gradually feel confident to share their ideas [I would have thought IPT teachers should be the best at this, wrong again, surprise, surprise] Say hi to your mum for me... | |||||||||||||||
