.: High Tea and "Back to Asylum Shopping" :.

Such decadence - the better half and I were treated to High Tea at the stamford this afternoon - sandwitches, scones (pronounced correctly darrrling) with jam and cream and lucious little peti fours (cakey morsels) along with lashings of Earl Grey, starched napkins, 3tier cake stand and river views. All rather hard to take (NOT!). One wonders if this is what the British do all the time (or the posh ones anyway) - if so, no woder they are so rounded in the middle. All rather nice tho, parked and caught a ferry across the river and back again. Feeling bloated and unable to go to gym but you get that sometimes, will do a yoga class tomorrow instead. Will not need dinner tonite (brought some of the cakey morsels home because we were full).

There is something worse than Boxing day Sale shopping and that is Back to Asylum shopping. Took kids, searching for the 67 page feint lined exercise book that is on special for 37c, the blar-brand eraser for 45c and so on is almost more than a chap can bear, you get that tho I suppose. Full day, full tummy, empty wallet - you get that also I guess.
