Interfaces as Abstraction Barriers

Interfaces exist on many levels - some are used directly by people, others are usually used by systems as they interrelate. This section deals wih the ability of 'puter systems to provide "function wrappers" around more complex sub-systems to allow higher-level systems or people to get at stuff easier
