Structural Elements

Every Programming language (worth installing and learning) supports a number of key concepts. Although the commands, syntax and conventions may vary, the following are considered necessary for inclusion as a 3GL

Each of the above concepts have been explained more fully in the sections that follow. Key to their use is an understanding of what they do, where they are used and why. This may appear to be an obvious statement but in learning to master the basics in one computer language, the transition to another language is less traumatic.
