617: (67/365) Narwal

Posted by wonko on March 8, 2017 in 365-2017, fish |

There is a mystical beast called a Narwal – the unicorn of the sea:

I am lead to believe this is a real critter, and their nose horn seems (at least from photos I fond on Google) to be impractically long but there you go – evolution is an odd natural force.

This is  Ryan Dong’s Narwal, another fold from the free eBook “Chinese New Year Origami” but I am not sure how a narwal fits into that collection.

I used lilac and grey bi-colour paper and the model on a 15cm square turns out to be a little cutie. The fold results in a 3D model with some charm.
