Yes… I watched it, yes I thought the last few seasons were not as good as the first few …. but … I did like the Demogorgans:

This is a Dermogorgan that was designed by u/Origami_roland from Reddit (YES, you should check out his fold of his model – the shaping is insane!), and I wanted to try it for a couple of reasons.

I recently bought the beginnings of a new lighting rig – a “SMASNORE” RGB LED strip light (well I bought 2, they only delivered one … soon to be resolved) that was primarily to help me take better lit photographs of origami models (and, well, to jazz up my Theremin studio … but I digress). I wanted something textural to show off. ALSO I am trying to improve my skills at solving Crease Patterns (CPs).

So, in the perfect story, I had the paper, and the time, and tenaciousness to try and shape the relatively easy collapse and, well, here we are. u/Origami_roland – please let me know if you do not want me to include your CP here – happy to remove it if you wish.

The SMASNORE lets you dial the colour and intensity of the light – I started playing with the colour palette and quite like the “upsidedown” vibes it gives off with more extreme colours.

This was a fun fold, and a terrific exercise in shaping as the BASE from the collapse is basically a multi-layered stickman – teasing shape and menacing sort of shredded morphology from the pleat bundles is fun – were I to refold it I would prolly be more strategic on what areas I worked and stabilised, in what order, but meh.
